Bike: After some doubt I have decided to go with my Canyon Aeroad CF SLX 8. This is the previous model, so there is no option to go with aerobars. Hopefully the thicker bar tape will help with the handsch.
However, I love this bike and have had no complaints after long and/or multi day rides. Whatever happens, I will always want to be on this bike.
Other key components:
- DT Swiss ARC 1400 dicut 65mm high wheels.
- My Specialized Romin EVO Pro saddle which I bought last month after damaging my old saddle in a crash. Saddle sores have decreased dramatically.
- Conti GP5000 32mm tires with TPU tubes.
Key items of kit: For bars I am fully going with Apidura. A 7l saddle bag for down jacket, bivvy and some clothes. A 4l framebag for toiletries, spares etc. and some food. And a top tube bag for basic Electronics and snacks. Might add a downtube pack somewhere for an extra bidon (for water or spares).
Other key items:
- Albion bib shorts for lots storage space on my body.
- two 950ml bidons to be able to go 3 to 4 hours without stopping
- Wahoo Elmnt Bolt, Garmin Varia and Shokz are the main Electronic devices. Two powerbanks to charge if necessary.
- Restrap straps to be able to get extra food and water on the bike somewhere

Bike: I ride on my trusty steel bike ("Red One"). Mechanical brakes from TRP. 46/30 and 11/34 at the rear. With all the luggage, this gearing is my preferred choice. My butt nestles against the prologo scratch saddle. Bags are from Restrap (for my sleeping setup and an extra layer of clothing for the night) and Tailfin (2.2 for everything else) and i'm wearing a hydration vest (extra 2 Liter of water). Both a headlamp on the helmet and the Sigma Buster light on the aero bars turn night into day.
Key items of kit: The corus dura and my sleeping bag from sea to summit for hopefully the best sleep I can get...

Bike: This Giant revolt is my gravelbike that I usually use for gravel riding and long bikepacking trips. I have chosen to ride the ASA Epic on this bike because of comfort. The nickname of my bike is 'Grijze muisje' (grey mouse) because its the least colorful bike I own and doesn't look very impressive. The bike has a SRAM eagle derailleur and mountainbike gearing for an easier spin on the hills in Sauerland.

Bike: I crashed my Genesis CDA 10 gravel bike a month ago, so decided to use my old racing bike, a Wilier Mortirolo (2009). I use a Velogical 3 phase generator (rim dynamo), combined with a powerbank, that I can use for the lights and charging. I also transferred the chainrings and cassette from the Genesis, which happen to be also Campa 10 speed, to get sufficient gearing for the climbing.
Key items of kit: Tailfin rack with top bag and Vaude front pannier. Nemo dragon fly tent, strapped to the aero bars. Apidura top tube bag for electronics and two food pouches. Rather heavy all and all, but I hope to be able to use the tent and cook (very) simple meals to make it worth.
